SKYPE READY: LET'S MAKE VIDEO PHONE CALLS

We have are now "enabled" with Skype and should be able to make free video phone calls to other Skype users.  If anyone out there knows how to to this already, let us know and we'll start with you.  You need to download skype for free from the internet and you will need a web cam if you don't have one built-into your computer.  We will continue to research this and let you know what you need to do to get "enabled" on your end -- if you know -- please post a comment and share your knowledge with all of us.  Thanks.

Laura

Just a coincident I got a coupon from Circuit City today so I ordered a web-cam for Skype... Now on to the down load etc. This should be interesting.

Mike -- i got your test.

We have tennis courts and are going to try to sign Jin up for lessons to give him something more to do in the summer, but the heat is outragous!

Thanks for the blog directions, I'll see if it works.

Any tips on house training Yu Yu are greatly appreciatd -- he has a zero success rate!

Take Yu Yu outside a lot? When we got Chili, I took her out every hour in the beginning. He probably doesn't like the heat especially with that black coat. Do you have a crate? I definitely recommend. Dogs like it and feel safe. They usually do not mess the crate up either. Does Margarite still have a schnauzer?

Eileen sent me pictures of the beautiful outside and inside pools and the guest house. Thanks Eileen!

Lori, I just downloaded Skype and am assigning Finn the job of figuring it out. Do you have any suggestions re: specs for the web cam? It looks like some are stationary while others will track movement, etc.

Lori, Re: YuYu, you may need a crate. You should feed her and then take her out 15 min. later for relief. When not being played with he may need to be crated and then taken out right after. I know it seems mean but everyone (experts) say dogs feel safe in their crates. He shouldn't mess his own crate and it would be a good place for him to sleep, if you can take the first night.

Re: YuYu

I agree with Eileen. Bobbi loved her crate and my dogs travel well in their crates. It does help a lot with training. Also, if you have company or have to go somewhere, you keep them in the crate. The crate gives them comfort!
