Yu Yu

We have a new puppy named Yu Yu (pronounced "you you").  He was overpriced, but he is wonderful!  5 month old Schnauzer.  We bought him from our driver, Zhu's, friend.  We had a relaxing weekend.  Yesterday we picked up the dog and drove around Shanghai and today we stayed in the neighborhood and went swimming.

We miss everyone and can't wait for you to visit.  More soon!

Ni Hao !Yeh for Yu Yu! Yu Yu is a lucky dog!!! He'll be the perfect size for the family. Looks like Sun has already bonded with him! I'm glad to see you figured out how to download pictures! Love, Kaye (How do you say good bye in Chinese?"

this is a test--not sure if I have figured this out yet...

Yeah! You're in Shanghai! I'm so happy to hear that you are settling in already! I guess with five new pets-- you are definitely settling in! Yu Yu is a cutey!

Your house and "compound" sound great--what a nice environment. Also--happy to hear that your're getting along with your Auntie and driver. I know that they will help make your lives even more comfortable.

I'm sure the kids will begin to adapt to the crowds eventually. The crowds can be overwhelming for anyone at any age, but especially for a kid.

Any news on schools yet? Have you met any other families with kids? I'm sure you'll get hooked up with the expat community in no time.

We're off to WI this week. We're planning on seeing Jenny at Germanfest, and Katie, Marguerite and Becky the following weekend. We'll miss you--but we'll begin to talk about our plans to see you in China!

Take care--Sai Chen! Keep the blogs coming--we love to hear and see what's going on with your new life!

I know that Yuyu... I like that Yuyu... Does Yuyu mean anything or just a name?

Marley says woof woof to Yuyu, her new cousin.

I wonder if I can post pictures on your blog. I made an album of "kid" pictures but had to send it through HP program and only knew Mom & Dad's e-mail by heart. The rest I'll get off of my e-mail address book and try to send to rest of you.

This will be a good learning experience for all of us. I hear more from everyone now then ever... Nice to see a comment from Matt. I saw a nice golf course as I flew out and a few very nice golf courses in Tokyo as we flew in and out.

I also add 14 hour at night and in a.m. and think of what you are doing. I am still up all night and want to sleep all day but return to work tomorrow and will be force to convert to US time :-)

Kaye,

You say, "Zai Jian" How much should we feed Yu Yu -- we are giving him 1/2 cup of dry food in the morning and evening -- is that enough?

Yu Yu is so cute! Mitzi says "hi" to Yu Yu!

Nai Hao! You might want to try to give Yu Yu a little more; maybe 1 cup in the morning since he is a growing puppy. He looks bigger than Bobbi and I think I gave her a cup a.m. and pm. but I'm not sure.

How do you say "Good Morning"?

Laura Lofy said...

Thanks for the doggie tips. Yu Yu's paws are quite big, so I think he may be big. I will give him so more food!

Good Morning is "Ni Zao"

What is your blog address?

I GUESS my blog address is the same as my e-mail address: kaye_spaude@hotmail.com; it says my follow up comments will be sent to that address. Maybe YuYu is a standard Schnauzer. Bobbi was only 15 lbs. You will have to tell me how to pronounce the chinese words (or I can ask Dad!). Thank you for the pictures! Lisa will help mom blog you back when she gets to Pine Lake this week!

It's fun to see all of your blogs--I like the Chinese lessons, too! Kaye--keep the questions coming so we can all learn!

Thank you! --is it--"Shay Shay"--in Chinese? Phonetically speaking, of course...
